Raise your hand if you feel like everyone’s skin care routine was super extra this year. The product lineup on some of my fav bloggers looked more like a shopping list than an AM/PM routine. For my babes with extra sensitive to sensitive skin, this was causing havoc as well. Something had to be done, but what? Well, if you’re like me, you enjoy a perfecting skin routine, but don’t feel like it should be out of control complicated. If you feel the same way, I have some amazing news for you! Gone are the days where you need 244,209,479 products for your face. As per usual, K-beauty has set the golden standard yet again with the new skin care diet trend.
The skin care diet is a new approach to ultimate skin care. It’s pretty simple actually – it involves simplifying your skin care lineup down to 3-4 essential products. Because everyone’s skin is based on their specific needs, your lineup might slightly vary. However, the mainstays are cleanser to clean the skin; toner to purify; serum to brighten; and moisturizer to hydrate. That’s it! That is all you truly need. Now don’t get me wrong, I didn’t dump all of my other products. I still have them and use them from time to time, but I have noticed a remarkable difference in my skin/complexion. I was starting to develop surface bumps and milia from extended exposure to too much product on my face. Now using the skin care diet routine, my face is glowing, even in complexion, and looks hydrated. Once a week, I still exfoliate with my fav, but on the daily, I only use these 4 products.
Skin Routine Steps
I have become a true believer in KORRES Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser. It’s rich, creamy foam actually gets everything off of my face when I’m cleansing. It even smells delicious too!
My toner of the moment is none other than Trader Joe’s Rose Water Facial Toner, which I love and was very inexpensive.
