We are here to live. We were made for so much more than petty trivial pursuits and material items that give us ephemeral happiness. We were put on earth to achieve greatness; to live and love compassionately; to be brave individuals who leave their mark on the world, in hopes that it will improve the quality for those that follow. How are you spending your life? Are you contributing to the powerful play that goes on?
What will your verse be?
Look around you. Look at all the people who are complacent with mediocrity + and blending in. Is that what you aspire to be? We have this weird fixation with fitting + blending in, all while wanting to stand out and be admired. It’s contradictory because it’s not what is natural to us. We, each and every one of us, are powerful beings with the capacity to evoke and effect change. How dare you work at blending into a sea of nothingness. How dare you not forge ahead + grab every opportunity to answer that burning desire inside of you to prove to the world who you are + why you matter.
Everyone has purpose. It doesn’t matter if you’re being bullied, or your parents ignore you, or you feel unloved. You are here purposefully and meaningfully, if for nothing more than to prove everyone wrong and be something amazing. At the beginning, middle + end of the day, all that matters is how you lovingly contributed to this world before you leave it. We never know how much time we have to create meaning in our lives, so it’s important to honor that voice inside you that tells you “you’re meant to be someone.” Stop hushing it up and telling yourself “one day…” Make every day here count.
The unfathomably small odds that your birth even occurred should make you realize that you matter, greatly. There has never been another you – from personality to biological makeup, you’re a singular miracle within your own very existence. Given that you were created with such precision, what talents do you have to share with the world? What natural abilities + gifts do you posses that are meant to shine brightly in this world? Do not let what you think others think of you, or expect from you, dim your light that is meant to create brilliance. History books aren’t written about those who follow suit – they are written about trailblazers who understood that they had a verse to contribute; a calling that they must answer. Be bold, be great, make waves and live ferociously.
