#wildbeauty: Glowing Skin

Glowing Skin

June Johnson Wild Beauty

I love nothing more than softly glowing skin, that dewy makeup look. It’s appropriate at every occasion and it looks beautiful on any complexion. Dewy skin is desirable because it’s a sign of healthy, youthful skin. The best way to get that look naturally, is to drink loads + loads of water, which is great for the body. Beyond that, I use Vivité skin care system to refresh, replenish and revive my face back to health and give me that dewy, glowing, smooth face. I start off at night by applying the Night Renewal Facial Cream, which works overnight to repair skin-tissue, hydrate the skin, and maintain complexion, while also reaching the appearance of aging. In the morning, I apply the Exfoliating Facial Cleanser, which opens pores, exfoliates ad treats/prevents breakouts. After, I put a dab of the Daily Antioxidant Facial Serum on my face, which is a daily serum that has antioxidants that fight aging, rejuvenates the top layer of skin, smoothing fine wrinkles + neutralizes free radicles that lead to visible signs of aging. The very last thing I put on my face before apply my makeup is the Revitalizing Eye Cream, which reduces fine lines, dark circles + wrinkles around the eye area. It also aides in collagen production, leaving skin looking brighter, smoother + younger.

Try a travel size if your curious, available here. The Vivité line itself has been discontinued (you can still buy from their site), however SkinMedica has taken over the line with some great products, from what I hear (have yet to test myself).

Now it’s makeup time…

Light Glowing Makeup

Step 1

After my Vivité routine, for a light day look, I apply a light bronzer all over my face and neck, after applying my Honey Girl Organics Facial Toner that I got in a beauty box by Pearlesque, a company my friend Rochelle Truxal started (check it out!).

Step 2

Next I apply a little bit of contour in the areas best for an oval face. I use a mixture of Maybelline’s Master Contour kit by FaceStudio in Medium-Deep and Black Radiance True Complexion Contour Palette in Medium to Dark, followed by Black Radiance’s Artisan Colour Baked Blush in Raspberry (love, love, loveee for a sexy but light blush look) along the contour lines and a little bit of the Maybelline blush from the contour kit directly on the apples of my cheeks. Next, I add e.l.f.’s Baked Highlighter in ‘Blush Gems’ and the highlighter in the Maybelline Master Contour kit.

Step 3

I put on my wet n wild megaliner in black for my winged eyeliner looks and finish off my look with Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Hibiscus and a gloss. Last, I spritz e.l.f.’s Makeup Mist + Set to hold everything in place.
